I'll make a note of this in the Shaft Feb and Mar editions, which will both be published before that date.

Don, thanks! Hopefully we'll get a few dedicated folks out on the first day of March.
Just a friendly reminder of the airhead tech day on 1 March.

"The following announcement was in the February Airmail. Many thanks to Dan Muir for hosting. Garry Newby (Oregon Airmarshal) and Chris Shea (Washington Airmarshal) will be present.

Washington and Oregon Airheads are holding a tech day/ride-in on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10 am to 5 pm on the Kitsap Peninsula in Western Washington. The Airmarshals will have technical expertise and some tools available for maintenance and repairs. Bring your own fluids, parts, filters, crush washers, and questions. Helmet will be passed to defray costs. Burgers, brats, and beverages after wrenching. This is our first Western Washington tech day in a while, so bring questions and problems if you want to have more "complex" tech day sessions in the future (e.g. carb rebuild, transmission rebuild, rear main seal, steering head bearings, etc.)
Dan Muir will be hosting at 1760 NW Marmot Circle, Silverdale, WA. Approx. N47 degrees 41.250 minutes/W122 degrees 40.450 minutes)
If you plan on coming, please notify Dan Muir ( For questions contact Dan, Chris Shea our Washington Airmarshal ( or Garry Newby our Oregon Airmarshal ("
Great Tech Day--19 stalwarts made it to Silverdale despite the afternoon rain. Look for a short write-up in a future "Airmail," likely the May issue.
