Rides and Activities

Each monthly breakfast meeting is followed by a day ride. We also plan several overnight riding trips throughout the year.

In the spring, we schedule a special Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Experienced Rider Course (ERC) for club members. This is a great riding "tune up" before the riding season begins in earnest.

We kick off the "official" riding season each spring with the Rain Run, an April weekend ride to the Oregon coast. We ride regardless of the weather, and we often get through this 500-mile event without any rain at all! (Besides, there’s never enough rain to dampen spirits raised by an early spring ride.)

June and July club meetings are normally campouts, hosted by a club member or held at a campground. These meetings are often times held in Eastern Washington to take advantage of the warm weather.

The club holds a yearly rally, the Cascade Country Rendezvous, usually the last weekend of July. About 400 riders from the Northwest and country attend. We look forward to meeting you. More information is available here: Cascade Country Rendezvous

The rally typically draws 250 to 400 participants who enjoy camping, good food, poker runs, mystery rides, field events, vendor booths, bike judging, an awards ceremony, and always great camaraderie.

August sometimes brings us to a campout sponsored by club members Ty and Michelle Randall near the town of Quilcene near the Hood Canal.

In September, we return to our regular monthly breakfast meetings north and south of Seattle for the remainder of the winter months.

The November meeting includes the annual Turkey Run, a great ride usually routed through rural Snohomish County.

For the REAL hardy, the "Snow Camp" is held at the Sunshine Point Campground in Mt. Rainier National Park in a winter month at the beginning of each year. This chilly event (warmed by tons of hot chili) is sponsored by Tacoma BMW and the BMW Riders Association.

Other Activities

WSBMWR participates in the annual Toys for Tots collection at our December meeting. We also make various charitable donations throughout the year based on recommendations by members and the state of club finances.

Many members participate individually in charitable rides and "runs" sponsored by other groups. Ideas are always welcome on how to help the community and/or enhance the image of motorcycling!
